Controlling FizzyPeak during your stream

Chat commands, dashboard, Discord, voice commands — we show you all the ways to control FizzyPeak live during your stream, without taking your hand off the phone.

Controlling FizzyPeak during your stream

When IRL streaming, you usually only have one hand free (the other holds the camera). That's why FizzyPeak has several ways to control it, so you never have to stop and fiddle around at a PC. Here's the overview of which option suits which situation.

1. Chat commands (standard)

The fastest method. Just type in your Twitch chat:

CommandEffect
!privacySwitches to the privacy scene
!liveBack to the main scene
!brbActivate the BRB scene
!scene <name>Switch to a specific scene
!bQuery bitrate and RTT
!fRefresh the ingest
!songShow the current song (with Spotify integration)

Security: Only you (the broadcaster) and your moderators can run commands. Viewers are ignored.

2. FizzyPeak mobile dashboard

In the browser on your phone you open dashboard.fizzypeak.stream. There you'll see:

  • Scene switcher — one-tap buttons for all your scenes
  • Stream Health — live graph with bitrate, RTT, loss
  • Quick actions — mute, privacy, Auto-Clip trigger
  • Bot console — send commands directly without chat

Touch-optimized, works with one hand.

3. Discord commands

If you have a Discord server, you can enable our FizzyPeak integration.

  1. Dashboard → Integrations → Discord → Connect
  2. Invite the bot to your server
  3. Mark a channel as the control channel (e.g. #stream-control)

From now on the same commands (!privacy, !scene brb, etc.) work in Discord — useful when you're out with a co-producer.

4. Voice commands (beta)

In the FizzyPeak app (iOS/Android) you can enable voice commands via a Bluetooth microphone.

Setup:

  1. Open the app → Settings → Voice Control → Enable
  2. Choose a wake word: "Hey Peak" or a custom one
  3. Speak the calibration sentence

After that:

  • "Hey Peak, switch to BRB"
  • "Hey Peak, what's my bitrate"
  • "Hey Peak, privacy mode"

The commands are processed locally on the phone — no audio goes to us or to Google/Apple.

5. Stream Deck integration

If you own an Elgato Stream Deck, you can assign FizzyPeak actions to buttons.

  1. Install the Stream Deck plugin "FizzyPeak Control" from the Elgato store
  2. Copy the API token from the FizzyPeak dashboard (Settings → API Tokens)
  3. Place actions on the Deck buttons via drag & drop

Stream Deck Mobile (iOS/Android) works the same way. Perfect as a second phone on the camera rig.

6. Shortcuts & gestures

In the FizzyPeak app you can assign gestures:

  • Double-tap the screen → Privacy
  • 3-finger swipe up → Scene Up
  • Shake the phone → Refresh ingest

Handy during a walking stream when you can't look at the screen.

7. Moderator hand-off

You can give certain mods extended rights so they can:

  • Switch scenes
  • Stop/start streams
  • Adjust chat overlays
  • Trigger an emergency refresh

Dashboard → Settings → Moderator Roles → Add, then enter the Twitch usernames.

Recommendation: which method when?

  • Walking IRL stream → chat commands + gestures
  • Co-streaming with a producer → Discord commands
  • At home in the studio → Stream Deck + dashboard
  • A second person in the control room → moderator access + dashboard

All commands at a glance

You'll find an up-to-date list of all commands in the FizzyPeak command reference. We update the list with every feature release.
