Set up a 24/7 stream with the VOD loop
With the 24/7 Loop, FizzyPeak plays pre-recorded content as an endless stream into your stream key — you appear on the connected platforms like a normal live stream, even when your encoder is offline. Ideal for reruns of your old broadcasts, waiting rooms and always-on channels.
Plan: the 24/7 Loop is available from IRL Pro (€21/month, €17/month yearly). On the Starter or Creator plan you'll see an upgrade card instead.
You'll find the feature in the sidebar under 24/7 Loop. Alternatively, the Live tab has an "Activate 24/7 Loop" button that starts your configured VOD/video directly.
Two modes
At the top of the tab you switch between two modes:
- VOD loop — loops your own Twitch VODs (shuffled or as a playlist), each with an auto-generated title. This is the default view.
- Own videos — your own uploaded video files or a directly streamed VOD URL.
This article mainly covers the VOD loop from your Twitch VODs.
VOD loop from your own Twitch VODs
Prerequisite: your Twitch account is connected to FizzyPeak (OAuth under Destinations/Connections). FizzyPeak reads your past broadcasts (archive VODs) through it.
Step 1 — pick the mode: shuffle or playlist
The VOD loop has two playback modes:
- Shuffle — plays your channel VODs in random order.
- Playlist — you pick specific VODs and set the order.
Step 2 — set up the auto-title
Every VOD gets an automatic title from a title template. Available variables:
{title} {date} {channel} {duration} {views}
There are ready-made presets, e.g.:
VOD from {date}: {title}{channel} – {title} (VOD)🔴 RERUN: {title}
You can also choose the date format (DD.MM.YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD). A preview shows you what the finished title looks like.
Step 3 (playlist only) — build the playlist
In playlist mode the Your channel VODs list appears. There you:
- add VODs to the playlist
- reorder them via drag & drop
- optionally give each entry its own title
Step 4 — start the loop
Click "▶ Start loop" (in the respective shuffle or playlist panel). This prepares the VOD source.
Step 5 — go live
Via the red "🔴 Go live with VOD loop" button the loop goes live. FizzyPeak starts on your enabled multistream targets with the chosen mode. Once everything is ready, FizzyPeak arms the broadcast.
LIVE ↔ VOD switch (stopping)
When the VOD loop is running, stopping gives you two options:
- ⏹ Go fully offline — ends the VOD source and switches off the broadcast.
- 🎥 Back to live (encoder takes over) — ends the VOD source but keeps the stream ready: as soon as your real encoder (OBS/Belabox/Moblin) pushes again, it takes over the broadcast.
The second option bridges a break, for example: the loop fills the time, and on the next encoder publish it transitions seamlessly into your real live stream.
Protection against double occupancy: if your encoder is currently publishing to your stream key, the VOD loop can't be armed "over" the running live signal — in that case, stop the encoder first.
Alternative: own videos & VOD URLs (the "Own videos" mode)
In the Own videos mode you work with your own files instead of Twitch VODs:
- Upload a video — formats MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, max. 1 GB per file, up to 10 videos.
- VOD from Twitch / Kick / YouTube by link:
- "Stream directly (24/7 loop)" — loops the VOD directly, without using storage (ideal for very long VODs). - "Download & save" — downloads a copy (counts toward your storage quota).
When starting your own video you can enable "Repeat endlessly (24/7 loop)". If you gave the video a custom title, it's automatically set as the Twitch stream title on start.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a running encoder? No — the loop runs server-side, even when OBS/Belabox is off.
- Which platforms does the loop go to? Your enabled multistream targets (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Trovo, Rumble, custom RTMP). Set these up under Multistream beforehand.
- Why don't I see any VODs? Connect your Twitch account first; the VOD loop reads your archived broadcasts through it.
