Set Up Multistream — Twitch, YouTube, Kick in Parallel
Stream to multiple platforms at once — set up FizzyPeak Multistream.
Set Up Multistream
With Multistream you stream from a single encoder upstream to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Rumble and more all at once. FizzyPeak takes your SRT/RTMP ingest and fans it out to all linked destinations.
How does it work?
Your encoder (Belabox/OBS/Moblin) pushes once to FizzyPeak. Our cloud transcodes as needed and pushes in parallel to all linked platforms. You save:
- Bandwidth — just one upstream instead of 3-5 in parallel
- CPU/battery — the encoder only has to encode once
- Complexity — one control, one start/stop
Connect destinations
- Sidebar: Distribution -> Multistream
- Per platform: "Link" button
- OAuth flow — you're redirected to Twitch/YouTube/Kick, authorize FizzyPeak, and return
Supported platforms
- Twitch — OAuth (fully automatic)
- YouTube — OAuth + stream creation is managed automatically
- Kick — OAuth (new support — if unstable, manual RTMP is possible)
- TikTok Live — manual stream key only (no OAuth available)
- Rumble — manual RTMP config
- Facebook Gaming — OAuth
- Custom RTMP — your own destination with an RTMP URL + key
Stream title and game/category
For each destination you can set a title and category. FizzyPeak syncs the values via API:
- Click the edit pencil on each destination
- Set the title and category (= game on Twitch, tag on YT)
- Apply
If you enable "Same title everywhere", FizzyPeak uses one master title for all destinations.
Quality settings
Some platforms have bitrate limits:
| Platform | Max bitrate | Max resolution | Keyframe |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twitch (non-partner) | 6000 kbps | 1080p60 | 2s |
| YouTube | 12000+ kbps | 4K possible | 2s |
| Kick | 8000 kbps | 1080p60 | 2s |
| TikTok | 4000 kbps | 720p60 | 2s |
FizzyPeak transcodes down automatically if you send, say, 8000 kbps to Twitch — without you having to change anything.
Chat aggregation
Once destinations are linked, their chats are merged into your overlay and the AI moderator:
- A unified chat stream across all platforms
- Chat commands (e.g.
!song) work no matter where they come from - The overlay shows platform badges per message
Live status per destination
In the Multistream tab you see for each destination:
- Status: Idle / Connecting / Live / Error
- Bitrate: current (received, sent)
- Viewer count (where supported by the API)
- Time since online
If one destination errors out (e.g. the Twitch API is down), the stream keeps running on the others — FizzyPeak retries automatically.
Start/Stop
Starting and stopping happens either:
- Globally: "Start All" / "Stop All" in the Multistream tab
- Per destination: individual toggle per platform
- Automatically: as soon as your encoder pushes, all active destinations go live
Troubleshooting
- Destination connected, but no stream -> platform key expired; under "Edit -> Re-Authorize"
- Chat doesn't come from Twitch -> see Chat doesn't appear
- Bitrate too high for TikTok -> transcoding may fail, reduce the encoder bitrate to 4000 kbps
Best practice
Before your first multistream: go live on all platforms with a test title "Technical Test", check that chat + video + audio come through, and end after 2 min. This saves embarrassing problems on the real launch.
- Not all platforms at once — some users are sensitive when they see the stream on 3 sites. Kick + Twitch is the most common mix; YouTube separately as a VOD platform
- TikTok only temporarily — the 60-minute limit policy makes TikTok multistream impractical for longer sessions
